In 1923 Luton won the National thousand Guinea trophy playing Henry Geehl’s “Oliver Cromwell”, at that time the only southern band to do so.

Take time out to listen to  “A Day on the Farm” with Luton Red Cross. The Mortimers had left by 1930 but their influence in propelling Luton Red Cross to the very top of the British banding scene is still audible.
